| Gepetto was a lonely old
wood carver. One day he decided to make a little boy
from a block of wood, and after a long day, fell
asleep in his chair. |
| Little did he know that among the
other toys he had made that year, was a fairy who
was able to bring them all to life in the middle of
the night - and she did - including Pinocchio |
| The fairy warned Pinocchio that he
must be a good son to Gepetto and she gave him two
special friends J.C. (a cricket) and Woose (a cat)
to help him choose what is right - if he didn't listen
to them he could get into trouble ! |
| But - on a shopping trip to buy some
food for Gepetto they met with a trickster called
Lampwick who persuaded Pinocchio to spend the money
in "Snowies" shop and buy chocolates instead.
The Shoplady wondered where he got the money from to
spend on himself |
| But when Pinocchio didn't tell the
truth.....oh dear! |
| J.C. and Woose tried to persuade
Pinocchio to return home but one of the animals in
the middle of the forest was Foxxy who tricked
Pinocchio to swap food for worthless circus tickets.
The Circus owner would not allow the three friends
in but hearing everybody laughing at Pinocchio
decided people would pay money to see his long nose,
so he put poor Pinocchio in a cage. |
| Everyone enjoyed watching the circus
acts |
| Acrobats, Hoops, Clowns, Stilts and
Spinners |
| Pinocchio watched from the cage as
they all took a bow and wondered if he would ever
see his friends again |
| But as true friends - J.C. and Woose
hurried back home. Gepetto hearing the whole story
came and rescued his son. Promising he would never
tell lies again Pinocchio asked Gepetto to make his
nose small again ( he also asked
him to make him look younger but that wasn't in the
script) |
| And they all were given a tremendous
round of applause... |
| Including the Director, who then
went home with Santa |
